Our
Story
Human Development Training & Services Ltd was born out of the meeting of two ladies, sharing a common passion for human and relationship development.
​
At that time, Marielle Requin was overseeing the Family Department at the “Institut Cardinal Jean Margéot” and was searching for tools to help parents gain confidence in improving their parenting skills in this fast-moving world.
​
On the other side, Françoise Labelle was looking for a platform to share her knowledge of the internationally recognised “Gordon Parent Effectiveness Training Workshop”.
​
They both share the philosophy of humanistic psychology, which believes that every individual has the desire and ability to develop and readjust to fulfil his/her potential when provided with the appropriate, secure environment.
Human Development Training & Services Ltd (HDTSL) is a non-profit company incorporated on the 10th August 2018 as a Private Company limited by guarantee by Marielle Requin and Françoise Labelle.

The Company is registered with the Registrar of Companies of the Government of Mauritius as Training Institution and is approved by the Mauritius Qualification Authority (MQA).
​
The centre is located at 1 Bolaky Lane, Sir Virgil Naz Street, Rose Hill, Mauritius.

We are convinced that education starts at home.

Our strategy is to develop partnerships with government bodies and NGO's to promote family welfare throughout the island. Our courses target the following groups: Couples, single parents, young people, organisations working with parents and children, leisure and sport clubs.

Our mission is to contribute to the improvement of interpersonal relationships within the Mauritian society and the development of those in need. Our company sets itself the task of making practical tools available to all, to encourage synergy at home or in society; thus resulting in enhanced confidence and trust at home, school or work.
